1.
We began off by folding the wire in half. |
2.
Give a few twists in the folded wire by wrapping the two ends around each other. |
3.
Clamp the open end of the folded wire about 1 cm in a vice and tightened while keeping it folded end exposed. |
4.
The folded end of the wire is called the eye which we want to keep. |
5.
Cut a piece of hemp or gardening twine about 6 to 7 cm in length. |
6.
Split the hemp or twine by giving it a gentle twist and pulling them apart and the twine will fall apart as shown. |
7.
Place the unwoven twine through the eye and slide it while shifting the twine down the wire towards the vice. |
8.
Continue to place the twine in the wire until the wire is full. |
9.
With the drill clamp the eye of the wire in the chuck of the drill. Slowly begin to wind the wire up with the drill. The tree will began in to take shape the more you wind it up. When the wire is completely wounded up the twine will be locked in between the wire. When the tree is completed wind up and remove from the chuck of the drill and the vice. |
10.
Cut the eye off the wire with wire cutters and cut to a desired length of the tree you want. |
11.
Trim the tree with sessions and mold the tree with your hand to a desired shape. |
12.
Cut a small piece of a thin straw or a sheath to slide over the trunk of the tree while placing a drop of glue inside the straw or sheath before you slide it on the tree. |
13.
The trees are now ready. Place the trees in a block so you can hold it for spray painting. |
14.
You need green and brown spray paint. You are now ready to paint. |
15.
Spray a coat of brown spray paint on the trees and let it dry. |
16.
